“The inhospitable environment of Isshallr barely sustains those who walk this world. Perpetual icy temperatures make the outside surface uninhabitable for any living creature.

The Molle people are built for life in the dark tunnels under the mountain. Only those adapted to months of life underground can sit out the long winters, waiting for those few weeks of summer when temperatures allow for outdoor travel across frozen wastelands. We use these opportunities to make contact with other clans, to trade our minerals and stones for rare commodities.

The elders say this winter is the longest they have yet seen. None of us know when we will be able to surface once again to brave the harsh cold of Isshallr.”
